Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Check for Trips GmbH ("eSIM Turkey", "we", "us") processes personal data when you use www.esim-turkey.com, language subdomains and our eSIM services.

eSIM Turkey acts as an intermediary/reseller for prepaid eSIM plans and does not operate its own telecommunications network. For eSIM provisioning and connectivity, selected order data may be shared with the third-party eSIM/mobile network provider responsible for the selected plan.

2.1. Data you provide during checkout or support:

• name, email address, phone number and country code,
• selected eSIM plan, quantity, order number and checkout status,
• payment status, payment gateway and transaction references,
• support messages, device model, screenshots and troubleshooting information,
• your confirmations of terms, privacy notice, device compatibility, immediate digital delivery, withdrawal acknowledgement and intermediary/reseller role.

2.2. Data processed automatically:

• IP address, approximate location, browser, device and operating system information,
• security, server and error logs,
• cookie/consent preferences,
• website interactions and ecommerce events where permitted by your consent settings.

2.3. We request a phone number because eSIM delivery and support may require urgent contact, fraud prevention checks and troubleshooting where email delivery fails.

We process personal data for these purposes:

• order creation, payment, eSIM provisioning, delivery and support - contract performance (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b));
• accounting, tax, legal retention and compliance - legal obligation (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c));
• fraud prevention, security logging, abuse prevention and service reliability - legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f));
• analytics, advertising measurement and marketing tags - consent where required (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and applicable cookie/privacy rules);
• customer communication about your order and necessary service notices - contract performance or legitimate interests, depending on the case.

We share data only where necessary for the service, payment, security or legal obligations.

• Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. and Stripe group companies for card and wallet payments.
• PayPal (Europe) S.a r.l. et Cie, S.C.A. for PayPal payments.
• eSIM provisioning partners such as eSIMAccess and other eSIM/mobile network partners used for the selected plan. These partners provide or arrange the actual connectivity; eSIM Turkey acts as intermediary/reseller.
• Email, hosting, logging and support infrastructure providers used to operate the service.

We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, phone numbers, payment details, raw payment responses or full eSIM identifiers to analytics or advertising tags.

We use cookies and similar technologies for necessary website functions, checkout security, consent management, analytics and marketing measurement. Non-essential analytics and marketing tags should run only according to your consent choices.

• CookieYes manages cookie and consent preferences.
• Google Tag Manager (container GTM-52L5WQ22) is used as the consent-controlled tag container.
• Google Consent Mode defaults to denied before Google Tag Manager loads.
• Subject to your consent choices, Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-E0N488YMF9), Google Ads (destination AW-17638333510) and Meta Pixel (ID 10064069990349459) may process website interactions and ecommerce events for analytics, advertising measurement and remarketing.
• Google Ads may also receive consented conversion data imported from Google Analytics 4 where configured.
• Cloudflare Turnstile helps protect checkout from fraud and abuse.
• Vercel hosts and delivers the website and may process technical logs and analytics data.
• Weglot provides website translation functionality.

You can change your cookie preferences through the cookie banner/settings where available.

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, we rely on adequacy decisions, EU Standard Contractual Clauses, data processing agreements and additional safeguards appropriate to the provider and processing activity.

• Order, payment and invoice records: stored for statutory commercial and tax retention periods.
• Support correspondence: stored as long as needed to handle the request and defend legal claims.
• Checkout/session data: stored for the period necessary to complete or recover the checkout.
• Security logs: stored for a limited period needed for fraud prevention and system security.
• Analytics data: retained according to the analytics provider configuration.

Subject to legal requirements, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing based on consent before withdrawal.

To exercise your rights, contact privacy@esim-turkey.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority, including the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

Our services are not directed to children. Orders may be rejected if the customer is not legally able to enter into the contract.

We may update this Privacy Policy when services, providers or legal requirements change. The current version is published on this page.
